Green Zone in Dresden and Hamburg, Germany
Germany is preparing environmental zones also in Dresden and Hamburg. Thus, even if you don´t currently need an environmental sticker in these cities, we recommend that you buy one. You need one in nearby Berlin and many other German cities, such as Munich, Cologne and Düsseldorf. You will be able to travel without worries, ready for its introduction in Hamburg and Dresden.

Are you going to Hamburg by car?
From 31. 5. 2018, diesel car drivers need to fall under the Euro 6 emissions level to travel on Max-Bauer-Straße and Stresemannstraße in Hamburg. Entrance is therefore allowed only to vehicles with a minimum level of air pollution. The environmental badge is currently not needed. Failure to comply with these rules is punished in Germany with a fine of 80 euros.
Restrictions apply to the important road sections of Max-Bauer-Straße and Stresemannstraße in the centre of Hamburg. However, the environmental badge allows you entry to many other German cities.
