Green Zone in Heidenheim, Germany

Heidenheim introduced a low-emissions zone of the strictest class on January 1, 2013. From this date on, you can only enter the city with a valid green plaque placed on the car´s windscreen. The aim of the low-emissions zone is to regulate the number of vehicles that are highly involved in air pollution.

Failure to comply with these rules is punished in Germany with a fine of 100 €. The entire city area falls into the Heidenheim environmental zone.
