Driving in Toulouse

Are you going to Toulouse by car?

From 27. 11. 2017, foreign vehicles must be marked with the “Crit’air” environmental badge. This so-called emergency low-emissions zone takes effect when higher levels of smog are recorded. Although the specific conditions are not yet known, it can be assumed that vehicles with a Crit’Air badge of classes 4 and 5 will be banned. There are 6 types of badge in France that express how much the vehicle is involved in air pollution. If you fail to comply with these rules, you risk a fine of € 68 to € 375 (i.e. approximately £ 62 – £ 320).

The low-emissions zone of Toulouse is bordered by the Périphérique ring road and covers most of the city’s territory. Highways A62, A61 and A620 are outside the zone.
