Q: How do I know whether I need an environmental badge?

You need an environmental badge if you plan to enter a low-emission zone. These zones are mainly located in larger cities and are marked by road signs. Entering a zone without a valid sticker may result in a fine. Checks are carried out by both the police and local authorities. The environmental badge is linked to a specific vehicle and its registration number plate, not to a person, so it can also be issued for a rented vehicle.

Q: For which countries do you offer environmental badges?

We currently offer environmental badges for Germany, France and Austria. We do not offer environmental badges for any other countries.

Q: Can I use one environmental badge in multiple countries?

No. Each country has its own environmental badge system, so you need the correct badge for each country.

Q: Does my motorhome or camper van also need an environmental badge?

An environmental badge is required only for motor vehicles, including motorhomes and camper vans. Trailers and caravans without their own engine do not require an environmental badge.

Q: Do I need an environmental badge for my passenger car in Austria?

The requirement applies only to category N vehicles, which are mainly company and commercial vehicles: N1, N2 and N3. At present, there is no requirement for passenger cars: M1, buses: M2/M3, motorcycles: L, or other vehicle categories.

Q: What is the blue environmental badge, known as the E-Plakette, for?

It is intended for electric vehicles and some other alternatively powered vehicles, such as plug-in hybrids and hydrogen vehicles. It may provide local benefits, such as discounted or free parking. However, it does not replace the green sticker. A green environmental badge is still required to enter German low-emission zones.

4. How long is an environmental badge valid for? What happens if I change my registration number plate?

An environmental badge remains valid for the lifetime of the vehicle.

However, a new German or French environmental badge must be issued if the registration number plate changes, as the badge is directly linked to the plate.
By contrast, the Austrian badge is linked to the vehicle’s VIN, so it remains valid even if the number plate changes.

5. Does my motorhome or camper van also need an environmental badge?

An environmental badge is required only for motor vehicles, including motorhomes and camper vans.

Trailers and caravans without their own engine do not require an environmental badge.

6. I have a Euro 3 vehicle. Which environmental badge can I get for Germany?

Diesel vehicles meeting Euro 3 standards and petrol vehicles meeting Euro 1 standards are eligible for a yellow environmental badge.

However, the yellow badge is no longer recognised in German low-emission zones. For this reason, we no longer issue it, and these vehicles cannot enter such zones.

7. Do I need an environmental badge for my passenger car in Austria?

The requirement applies only to category N vehicles, which are mainly company and commercial vehicles (N1, N2 and N3).

At present, there is no requirement for passenger cars (M1), buses (M2/M3), motorcycles (L) or other vehicle categories.

Motorcycles in category L currently do not require an environmental badge in Germany, and none can be issued for them.

1. Are the environmental badges you sell official?

Yes. Environmental badges purchased from us are official documents issued by a certified authority.

Each environmental sticker carries a certification number.
We have served more than 200,000 satisfied customers.
There is no central online vehicle register that can replace the environmental badge. What matters is the original printed badge displayed on the vehicle.

2. What information is required to issue the environmental badge?

To issue an environmental badge, we need a scan of both sides of the vehicle registration certificate. We verify the following details:

Number plate
Date of first registration
Fuel type
VIN
Where applicable, the vehicle’s emission standard

You may cover your personal data on the documents; we do not need it to issue the environmental badge.

3. My environmental badge was destroyed when my windscreen was replaced. Can you issue a new one?

Yes, we can issue a replacement environmental badge.

However, the badge must always be reissued based on the vehicle’s current valid documents.
If the original environmental badge was ordered from us, we will be happy to offer you a special discount.

4. Where can I find information about my order?

We will notify you by email whenever the status of your order changes. Each email will include a button linking to a page where you can:

Track the status of your order
Upload documents
View scanned copies of your environmental badges
Download the invoice
Check the delivery details

5. Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order and receive a full refund, provided that the environmental badge has not yet been issued.

Environmental stickers are custom-made products because they are printed with your registration number.
Once the environmental badge has been issued, the order can no longer be cancelled and the badge cannot be returned, because it cannot be used for another vehicle.

6. I need to order environmental badges for a company fleet. Can I place a bulk order?

Yes, we will be happy to help. Please contact us at [email protected]

In your email, please state the number of vehicles and which badges you require.
Send a scan of both sides of the registration certificate for each vehicle.
Do not forget to include the billing and delivery address, along with any other requirements.

We will then prepare the order and issue a pro forma invoice.

3. Shipping and delivery times

Fast and reliable delivery – find out when your environmental badge will arrive and which delivery options are available.

1. How does delivery work, and how quickly will my environmental badge arrive?

We issue badges once your order is complete and payment has been received.

We offer free worldwide shipping.
Environmental badges are normally sent by priority post without tracking, but you can also choose a tracked delivery option.
German badges are dispatched from Berlin, Germany every working day for orders placed by 13:00.
Austrian badges are dispatched from Berlin, Germany within 3-5 working days.
French badges are dispatched from Paris, France and are usually delivered within 14 working days. Within 24 hours of processing your order, we will email you a PDF containing an electronic environmental badge that you can use in the meantime.

2. I need an environmental badge at short notice. Can you help me?

Yes, we also offer express shipping.

German badges: express delivery within 1-2 working days to an address in Germany.
German and Austrian badges: express delivery via UPS or DPD to most European countries.
French badges: within 24 hours of processing your order, you will receive an email with a PDF containing an electronic badge with a QR code. This is a recognised temporary substitute for the environmental badge in France. The printed environmental badge will be delivered by post later.

3. I am leaving for Germany tomorrow. Is there a fast option available?

Yes. We can issue the environmental badge on an express basis and send it directly to an address in Germany. For fast processing, please contact us on working days before 12:00.

The shipment usually arrives within 1-2 working days.
Delivery to a mailbox in Germany is possible only if the mailbox is clearly labelled with the name stated in the order.
We can also send the environmental badge to your hotel. In that case, please inform the hotel reception in advance so that they can accept delivery.

You can also collect the German environmental badge in person from our office in Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg) on working days by prior arrangement at least one day in advance.

4. What if my environmental badge is not delivered?

We guarantee delivery of every environmental badge.

You will receive an email from us when the environmental badge has been dispatched.
If it has not been delivered within 10 working days, please contact us immediately. We will always resolve the situation to your satisfaction.

5. Where are the environmental badges dispatched from?

If you order environmental badges for multiple countries, each one will arrive in a separate letter.

German badges are dispatched from Germany, Czechia and Denmark.
Austrian badges are dispatched from Germany.
French badges are dispatched from France.

6. I received an “empty sticker” in the envelope. What is it?

If you ordered a French environmental badge together with the self-adhesive film, you will receive two separate letters.

This means that the self-adhesive film may arrive before the letter containing the environmental badge.
It is therefore not an empty sticker, but a self-adhesive film.
